The NEF-Awani ICT Awards is back again for the second year. This year, there are more categories under the ICT awards opened for nomination, there are:

- Most Innovative Company
- Best Start-up Company
- Best Mobile Content/Application
- Best Young Technopreneur
As for the People’s Choice Award, these are the categories opened for nomination:
- Favourite E-Government Solution
- Favourite Online Banking
- Favourite E-Services
- Favourite Entertainment Portal/Blog
- Favourite E-Community
- Favourite Telecommunication Company
- Favourite Social Networking Platform
- Favourite ICT Device Brand
The nomination period for the ICT Awards and People’s Choice Awards will be opened starting from 31st October 2011 and will end on the 30th November 2011. The nomination form is available from 31st October 2011 onwards at the following link.
Winners of the previous year have a lot of positive comments about the NEF-Awani ICT Awards. Norshafida Abdul Khalid the Chief Executive Officer of OREA Technologies Sdn Bhd, the year 2010 winner of the Most Innovative Company was quoted saying that the award was is the most prestigious Awards with great exposure and recognition on TVs and printed media.
While Nizam Razak, the Co-founder of the Animonsta Studios Sdn Bhd, the previous winner for the Best Start-Up Company have acknowledge that the NEF-Awani ICT Awards is a great platform for companies to gain recognition and exposure from the industry for their hardwork.
